About Us
We are passionate about inclusion, sport and social interactions for our superstars
How we started:
The team started about 12 years ago as a group of students who had a kick about on a Saturday at a local SEN school and we have developed as a FA affiliated Football Club in 2013.
What we do:
We provide organised, structured football training on a weekly basis and monthly tournaments for the disabled and special needs community as they cannot access main stream football clubs. We offer training every Saturday to those of all impairments, physical, intellectual, mental and behavioural, for male and female players and all ages. In addition, we include social outings for these players to help strengthen their social skills, relationship bonds, strengthen their camaraderie and have a bit of fun. It is our way of providing for them what is available to mainstream players.
We want to continue to provide weekly football for the special needs and disabled community along with social outings and get together for the team players and families. It’s a great idea as there is very little regular, organised and structured footballing opportunities for this community. For most players, this is their only physical exercise. Our players benefit from the football, exercise and the opportunity to get together as a group for social activities. The parents/carers benefit as their children are having fun in an organised and safe environment. Most of our players are from Woking or the surrounding towns.
How we are set up:
We have a committee of 5 volunteers (Chairman, Treasurer, two Welfare Officers, and other volunteers for social events and social media) for the day-to-day management. We have regular committee meetings, and all the committee members are parents of our players and represent our players via proxy. We also host an annual AGM where parents and players are actively encouraged to attend and voice their desires for the shaping of the Club.
How we work:
The Club's roots are from players and families from the local Special Educational Needs schools in and around Woking in Surrey. Our Football Club came into existence because local Woking families with disadvantaged disabled or special need children wanted a football team to allow their children access to regular football. Those same families are an integral part of our committee with new families invited to join and help out every year. As we are an inclusive Football Club suitable for all abilities in the special needs and disabled community, we ask our players to join in and take part in a variety of ways. We have had a handful of our players complete their Level 1 Coaching certificate from the Surrey FA and offer those players a chance to run or help out with coaching sessions for the team. All players have a say in what types of social activities we set up for them and those who need it, their parents stand in for them via proxy. Equally, players and parents/carers have a direct input into the development of the Club and what we offer the players.

As we are run by volunteers, it is the player's parents who then organise and help put these plans into action.
